You can copy any item of your choice as long as you can use it in battle.  You must have the W-Item materia.  When you get to the person who has the W-Item materia equipped pressO to use the item and then choose another item and press X instead of O so you don't actually use it.  You can do this as much as you want but the limit for items is 99.  You will get one extra item each time you do the OX process.

Exchange Gil for GPBack to Top
You can exchange gil for gp by going to the gold saucer and talking to the man behind the save point when you first come in.  He'll be hiding around the corner of the building.  He's there about 1/60th of the time so it may take a while.  Anyway it costs 100 gil for 1gp and you can only get like 100 gp or something like that so you're better off just winning some S class races in the chocobo square.

Turtle's Paradise Flyerstop of page
If you find all of the Turtle's Paradise Flyers and read them then you will get a nice set of items.  There are 6 of them scattered around the world of ff7.  Here is a complete list of all the turtle's paradise flyers.

#1: Midgar next to Aeris's house.  The second floor of the southeastern building and look at the papers taped to the wall by the starewell.

#2: Shinra HQ, the first floor check out the board with the papers on it near the elevators.  The only time you can read it it on disc 2 when you raid Midgar.

#3: Gold Saucer, in the hotel read the sign that says SHOP next to the shop entrance.

#4: Cosmo Canyon, check the left wood post of the Tiger Lilly Arms shop.

#5: Cosmo Canyon, the gold paper by the door on the second floor of the inn, the entrance is behind some hanging cloth close to the bonfire.

#6: Wutai, the bottom floor of Yuffie's house, it's the scroll to the right of the doorway.  However you can't get it until you go though Yuffie's little subquest first, you know the one where Yuffie takes all of your materia and you have to chase her all around town to get it back.

You don't have to find the flyers in any certain order.  When you finally find all six of them go to the restuarant in Wutai, it's the large building in the southwestern corner of town.  If you talk to the bartender you'll get a power source, guard source, magic source, mind source, speed source, luck source, and a megalixir.

Defeating the Ancient Foresttop of page
OK, here we go.  The ancient forest is a optional little game.  It's located a little northeast of Cosmo Canyon but it's not the easiest place in the game to get to.  You have to either have a  golden chocobo  or defeat ultimate weapon.  Defeating ultimate weapon is the traditional way to get there because by defeating him you get Cloud's Ultimate Weapon, the ultimate sword.  I bet you're wondering how beating ultimate weapon will open up the ancient forest.  When you kill him it leaves like a big crater from him blowing up or something, and you can just walk up the crater into the ancient forest.

Now the ancient forest isn't all that hard to beat as long as you use my directions.  If you don't use my directions it could pose to be quite a problem.  It should take you less than an hour to go all the way through it.  I think it took me somewhere around 1/2 an hour to get through it.  These are the things that are of any use to you: plants, bugs, frogs, and pink springy vines.

When you first enter the ancient forest there are some bugs bouncing right in front of you.  They are those little green circles that are bouncing up and down.  You want to take the bug and take it under the bridge and to the ledge on the right.  By this ledge there will be some hanging pod plants.  Now drop the bug near the pod plants but not too close because it will get eaten but not too far because it won't do any good.  Go back to the bridge and take one of those bugs and put it with the one you just dropped off by the hanging pod plants.  Now go back and get the final bug by the bridge and drop it in the pod plant.  Once it takes the bug it will only stay that way for about 7 seconds so make it snappy:)  Go grab one of the other bugs and jump onto the first pod plant and release it in the second.  Go grab the last bug and jump onto the first then the second pod plant then put it into the third pod plant and jump onto the third pod plant and then finally jump onto the grass on the other side.  At the bottom of the screen you'll see a large pink flower with a grey package in the middle of it.  If you approach this plant very carefully one step at a time while pressing O inbetween each step you will get Vincent's Supershot ST.  When you get it walk back off of the plant.  Now go right and you'll encounter a pink springy vine.  Jump on it and it will take you across.  Now go up and around the tree on your left and get RED XIII's spring gun clip.  After you have it head to the right.  Grab the next bug and jump on the springy vine and you should be on a ledge.  Put the insect in the pod plant to your right then jump over the two of them (note that the second one is already closed and waiting for you to jump on it.  Then go to the springy vine and it will jump you to the other side of the screen over the fly trap in the middle of the screen.  When you land grab the frog and walk up the ledge that is flanked by pod plants.  Now put the frog in the pod plant on the left, and jump onto this plant.  Now face left and wait for the plant to spit the frog out and send you flying.  When you're spit out you should be on the ledge with a big orange plant and in the middle of it is a beehive.  Next pick up the beehive and walk off the ledge and go to the pink fly trap on your left.  Let go of the beehive in the fly trap, and it will close so you can walk around it and get the slash-all materia.  Now go get the frog again and go up to the ledge with the pod plants on either side and put the frog in the right pod plant, now get on the pod plant with the frog and face right.  I bet you're wondering about that grey bag on the tree, don't worry about it you'll get it later.  When the pod plant spits you out you will be in the next screen.  In the next screen there'll be a bug right in front of you, don't touch it go past it and get the other bug.  Now head back to your left and find the pod plants, go close to the ledge and release the bug into the pod plant.  Next go back and get the bug you saw when you first got in and jump on the first pod plant then release the bug and jump to the second and onto the springy vine and you should be taken to the treetops.  Head to the big trunk on your left and work your way down, on the way down you should get the grey package that you saw before, it's the Minerva Band.  You can't go back up the tree, but you can go to the left, grab the frog, go to the ledge with the pod plants on either side of it and put the frog into the right pod plant, jump on it and face right and you should be sent to the next screen. (this is where the part about patients comes in because that is the third time you've done this to that particular frog) OK, now that you're back to where you need to be next you need to get back to the treetops again.  Use the same technique that you used before to get up there.  When you get back up the the treetops head left again but this time go up instead of down.  On the next branch go right and you'll come to a broken stump going up and to the right.  Climb on the stump and jump across all three springy vines.  When you finally land go to the far left and you'll find another grey bag with the typhoon summon materia in it.  Next backtrack across the three springy vines and work your way down and to the right of the stump.  Now you'll walk across some rope and don't worry you can't fall:)  Keep going across the rope and you'll exit to the right.  Now grab the first bug you see and head to the pod plants to your right.  Put the bug in the lower plant, next jump on it then to the already closed second plant and then up to the ledge where the beehive is.  Pick up the beehive and walk off the ledge and release the beehive in the big fly trap.  Now find another bug and grab it then head up the ledge to the now closed fly trap.  Put the bug in the pod plant, jump on the plant and then jump to the ground to your left.  Now grab the bug on the far left side of the screen and release it in front of the hollow tree.  If you release it close enough a frog will jump out and eat the bug, now grab the frog and take it to the ledge on the right and release it but not too close to the pod plant.  Head left again and find another bug and grab it, take it to the ledge where you just left the frog.  Next put the bug in the pod plant then pick up the frog and jump onto the pod plant and then jump to the ground on your right.  Next walk past the closed fly trap and to the ledge on the right.  This time put the frog in the lower pod plant, now jump onto that pod plant then turn right and wait for the plant to regergitate the frog and send you to the next screen.  Now go in the cave and head straight to the right and you'll find a chest with Cloud's Apocalypse sword in it.  Now go back to the center of the cave and head up and in a short while you'll soon see the exit.  Go to the stairs at the right side of the screen and you'll find another chest with an elixr in it.  Congratulations and a job well done!!!  You've got everything in the ancient forest.  Just go through the exit and you'll be on your way to your next journey.

The Sleeping ManTop of Page
To see how many battles you have won go southeast of Midgar.  You can get there with the highwind or a green, blue, black, or  golden chocobo .  It'll be a cave sorrounded by mountains with a river not too far away.  Inside you'll find a sleeping man who ususally will tell you how many battles you have.  In order for him to tell you you have to get the last two numbers of your total battles the same (ex. 133, 788, 344, 899, or something like that).  When you finally get the right number of victories then talk to the sleeping man.  At first he'll toss and turn then give you a mythril.  Then go to the single house out in the middle of nowhere by the gold saucer (if you have been here earlier you might think it's useless).  It is filled w/ weapons all over inside.  Now go talk to the man in the house, he should give you a choice take the one on the top.  You'll lose the mythril but you can either open one of the two chests.  The long wooden chest has a gold armlet inside of it, and the metal one upstairs has the manualy for Aeris's level 4 limit break.  Sometimes the old man won't give you a mythril.  Don't get too excited if he doesn't just go fight some more battles until you get the last  two numbers the same again.  Some of the other things that he might give you are an ice ring or a bolt ring.  You can get as much mythril from him as you want as long as you get rid of the last piece first.

How to get Yuffie KisaragiTop of Page
First of all you can get Yuffie in any disc.  The two most common places to find her are the Gongaga area and the forests in the Junon area.  You will encounter Yuffie in a battle (you'll get her in about a 1 in 10 chance).  Yuffie's stats vary depending on your characters levels.  Basically beat the crap out of her as fast as you can.  She can use all kinds of attacks while you're fighting her but when you get her the attacks get limited.  To get Yuffie you'll have to get in a nice little conversation with her.  When u beat Yuffie in the battle you will be in a different screen with grass all over the place.  There will be a savepoint but DON'T use it.  Go talk to her and reply like this:

Say: Not interested

(talk again)

Say: Petrified
Say: Waid a second!
Say: That's right
Say: Let's hurry on

If you answer the questions correctly she'll ask you what you want to call her, and here you can put in whatever you want to.

How to get Vincent ValentineTop of Page
Just like Yuffie you can get Vincent during any disc of the game.  First you'll need the key for the basement in Nibelheim's Shinra Mansion (it's located in the safe which isn't very hard to get).  When you get the key go to the door that you couldn't get into before.  When you're in go to the purple or violet coffin and press O.  Vincent will then throw the lid off of the coffin and he will talk to you.  Reply to him like this:

Say: Talk about Sephiroth

When he gets done talking  go to the coffin again and press O.  Now reply like this:

Say: Who are you?

When he gets done talking again leave the room and he'll come after you.  The only time you can't get Vincent is during the little flashback thing that Cloud has.
